FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – FEBRUARY 22-2010

Alberta based company eco-flex rolls out the “recycled rubber” welcome mat for the enormous LiveCity Vancouver crowd.

To say the least, the LiveCity Vancouver site continues to be an enormous success and melting pot of Canadian patriotism. Our Canadian Olympic athletes are doing phenomenal and LiveCity Vancouver tends to be the location where everyone wants to celebrate that success.

The complimentary 100,000 square foot celebration, activity, and concert venue at David Lamb Park makes up the LiveCity Vancouver site that sees thousands upon thousands of people each day since the Olympic Games opened up. The mass attendance and success that this site is enjoying is legendary and the flooring of choice for this venue is a “green” product called
eco-flex.

This Alberta made decorative yet durable rubber surface is made from recycled passenger car tires and provides a firm yet comfortable surface for the thousands of Live City Vancouver’s attendees. Over 38,000 scrap car tires were used to create this modular and snap together surface and the manufacturers of eco-flex take pride in providing their product for this amazing celebration site so graciously produced by Live Nation Canada in conjunction with the City of Vancouver.

Hats off to the sponsors participating at the LiveCity Vancouver site, such as Coca-Cola, Acer, Samsung, and Panasonic, whose unique and attractive pavilions illuminate the evening events at LiveCity Vancouver.

Once the games are finished, the entire LiveCity Vancouver site will be removed and David Lamb Park will be put back to its original condition. The eco-flex recycled rubber tiles will be as easily removed as they were installed and be utilized in other projects through out the City of Vancouver.
